College Preparatory Course of Study

The Summit Christian OnLine Academy's college preparatory course of study is designed to prepare students for entrance into most universities and colleges. However, because each college or university has its own entrance requirements, the student will want to consult with the school of his or her choice in order to tailor a high school program which meets the specific requirements of that institution.

General Course of Study

While some colleges and universities will accept students having a general course of study diploma, Summit Christian OnLine Academy's general course diploma does not represent the same scope or rigor characteristic of the college preparatory course of study. A student earning the general course diploma possesses credentials enabling them to attend community college, some vocational or technical schools, and possibly some universities.

Admission to Colleges and Universities

Students planning on pursuing higher education should inform themselves regarding the entrance requirements of the particular school they wish to attend. The ACT or SAT examination is required for admission to many colleges and universities. These tests are usually taken during the spring of the junior or senior year.

Upon request Summit Christian OnLine Academy will send a copy of a current or recent student's record to a college or university. Each additional Summit Christian OnLine Academy transcript requires an advanced payment of $5.00. (Former Students-transcript $10.00 for 1st one and $5.00 for additional copies)

Summit Christian Academy, Inc. is registered with the SAT and ACT testing boards.  For our enrolled students, registration packets and information along with our high school code number are available upon request.

Standardized Achievement Tests

Summit Christian Academy offers the IOWA/TAPS testing each spring to home school families.  Fees and registration information will be available upon request in January 2000.

Standardized achievement tests (SAT) for grades 4 through 12 are advised and should be taken, but are optional.  Mail any testing results to Summit Christian OnLine Academy for recording.
