A one-semester course that briefly tells about America's origins and the steps that led to the foundation of the U.S. Constitution.  The “How and Why” the national government came about, the principles of the constitution, and how it applies to every day life are discussed.  The program provides Internet links to compliment the topics being discussed. Each course is designed to be the equivalent of 1 semester each of college level Spanish (SPA – 101 and SPA – 102).  This curriculum is designed to help the student reach the same level of proficiency in two years of study that a college student should attain after two semesters of Spanish study.  Spanish I sends you on a trip to Mexico, while Spanish ll ventures to Ecuador.  Students will have the opportunity to hear a variety of Spanish speakers using various vocabulary and verb tenses.  After completing Spanish l, students will be able to ask and answer basic questions, and initiate and respond to simple statements.  After completing Spanish ll, students will be able to read, write and listen to more complex structures.
