Step 1: Registration Step 2: Day-to-Day Registration First things first... Registration is easy to do and takes only minutes to complete! Click on REGISTER on the side menu. You will be shown the Enrollment Agreement. This agreement is to ensure you understand and agree with the goals and responsibilities of the SCOLA/parents/student relationship. If you agree to the statements, click to continue with registration. There is also a Payment Agreement form found on the side menu below the register button if you wish to participate in our payment program. Complete the registration form. If your student attended public or private school: Complete the Enrollment agreement section-"Previous School Attended." Upon receipt of this form, Registration, and Tuition payment we will request the students records from the previous school. The registration fee is $100 (nonrefundable). You can pay online or call 1-800-362-9180 using a credit card, Checks, or money orders are also accepted. After we have received the registration fee, we will send you an placement test. Have your student complete the test; then, we will evaluate your student's test and transcript for credit transfer and placement. We will then inform you of your student's placement in Summit Christian OnLine Academy. Upon receipt of your tuition payment, Summit Christian OnLine Academy will mail you the Switched-On Schoolhouse Curriculum and SCHOOL BEGINS!!! Day-to-Day Now What? Students will look forward to doing their schoolwork on the computer. Switched-On Schoolhouse has many interactivities, movies, and audio clips that enhance the learning experience. With the instant grading feature, students have immediate feedback regarding their progress. When students are ready to submit their schoolwork to be graded, they link up to the Internet and transfer their work to our teachers. Simultaneously, any grading and/or comments made by our teachers are transferred back to your students. Our teachers grade the paragraph answers, essays, and projects. Teachers can assign extra work, or clear problems for the student to rework. They also tutor as needed. Due dates and Past Due notices will help keep you on schedule according to your customized lesson plan.
